On 30 June 2026, Rajah & Tann Asia organised an event titled “Borneo Conversations with Rajah & Tann Asia: From Adoption to Accountability: Managing AI & Cybersecurity Risks in Practice” in Brunei.
As artificial intelligence (“AI“) continues to transform the way businesses operate, organisations must address the accompanying legal, regulatory and cybersecurity implications. The event brought together Rajah & Tann Asia practitioners and industry speakers to share practical insights on how AI is being used in corporate and dispute contexts, and how risks are being managed in practice. Topics covered included AI-enabled drafting, disputes, cyber threats and regulatory exposure, with a focus on practical approaches to balancing innovation with risk.
The speakers were Partners Kendall Tan (Head, Rajah & Tann Asia’s Brunei Business Unit), Rajesh Sreenivasan (Head, Technology, Media & Telecommunications) and Glen Chiang. They were joined by Michael Lees, Assistant Director of Rajah & Tann Singapore’s Enterprise AI & Business Integration, Sim Siong Koon from Singapore International Mediation Centre, and Joe Chan from Brunei Gas Carriers.
Managing Partner Ng Kim Beng delivered the Welcome Address.
