- Advised Hong Kong-listed Link REIT on its S$2.16 billion acquisition of shopping malls, Jurong Point and Swing By @ Thomson Plaza, in relation to technology, intellectual property and data protection matters.
- Advised EQT Private Capital Asia in its US$1.1 billion acquisition of Singapore-based real estate platform, PropertyGuru Group Limited, in relation to in relation to technology, intellectual property and data protection matters.
- Advised SentinelOne on its acquisition of Pingsafe Pte. Ltd., a cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) firm, in relation to the Singapore intellectual property and data protection matters.
- Advised Synagistic Pte. Ltd., a leading data-driven digital solutions platform in Southeast Asia, in the De-SPAC transaction between Synagistics and HKAC, a special purpose company listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, on various data protection and intellectual property issues.
- Advised a Singapore media group on its acquisition of a technology media startup in relation to technology, intellectual property and data protection issues, strengthening the group’s offerings as a regional player for business and technology news.
- Advised a global technology conglomerate in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions on its acquisition of assets from a listed seller in relation to Singapore intellectual property matters.
- Advised a global investor services provider on its acquisition of a compliance consulting group in relation to intellectual property and data protection issues.
- Advised an innovation accelerator in relation to its sale of assets comprising certain technology, data and intellectual property to a multinational bank headquartered in Singapore.
- Advised a venture capital fund on the intellectual property aspects of its investment into a leading manufacturer of medical consumables in the region.
- Advised a Nasdaq-listed crypto cloud mining service provider on its acquisition of technology assets and employees as part of its strategic growth plans.
- Advised an interior design firm on a sale of assets which included certain key intellectual property.
Technology & Intellectual Property
- Advised a PRC financial institution on its engagement of a service provider to implement a letter of credit technology platform service for its customers.
- Advised a Singapore-listed healthcare group on its technology platform and source code acquisition from its vendor.
- Advised a petroleum storage terminal in Asia on a rollout of a Software as a Service for its customers, as well as the accompanying terms of use and privacy policy, which aim to provide enhanced and streamlined technology solutions for the customers.
- Advised a leading technology company on its master service agreement to be entered into with its clients for subscription of its wealth management platform service.
- Advised a leading start-up in cloud computing on its Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service templates to be entered into with its customers.
- Advised a Singapore subsidiary of an Indonesian conglomerate on a Local Promoter Rights and Responsibility Agreement for the organisation and promotion of the “The 38th Golden Disc Awards In Jakarta” (i.e., the equivalent of the Grammy’s in Korean Pop).
- Advised a NASDAQ-listed AI cloud and mining services provider on various commercial and technology agreements and arrangements.
- Advised Miral (an Abu Dhabi Government-related entity responsible for the development of the tourism infrastructure in Abu Dhabi) in an IP License Agreement with teamLab, a Japanese art collective, to utilise their intellectual property in the museum on Saadiyat Island called “teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi”.
- Advised a US-headquartered technology startup providing media services on its master services agreement with its supplier.
- Advised a leading e-commerce company on its digital commerce management services to be rolled out to its customers.
- Advised a global consulting firm on its technology terms of business.
- Advised a leading bank in Singapore on an intra-group reorganisation of its trade mark assets.
- Advised clients across varied industries on intellectual property assignment and licensing arrangements.
Data Protection & Cybersecurity
- Advised clients across various industries on compliance measures in relation to Singapore’s Data Protection Act, including conducting regional data protection compliance exercises and drafting and reviewing company policies containing data protection provisions for companies in different industries and geographies.
- Regularly conducts training sessions on Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act to various clients.
