Our AI Strategy
Our Strategy
We adopt AI with an aim to improving operational efficiency, enriching the work environment for our people and delivering better service to our clients.
Our strategy focuses on empowering our people with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to effectively integrate AI into their daily tasks, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. We focus on AI-driven solutions that are tailored to the specific needs and workflows of our lawyers and business support professionals, ensuring that the technology complements and enhances their expertise.
The integration of such a powerful technology is approached with diligence and responsibility and we have in place the following safeguards.
- Policy and Governance. Our AI use is guided by our Policy on Responsible Use of Generative AI (“Policy“) which addresses areas such as data protection and privacy, transparency, human oversight and accountability.
- Security and Privacy. We review and evaluate each AI solution before adoption to ensure information security and data privacy. Commitments are secured from AI solution providers that our data (including client data) is not used for foundation model training.
- Firm-Authorised AI Solutions. Our people’s access to public AI solutions is restricted. The Policy prohibits our people from entering any non-public client information or personal data in AI solutions that have not been authorised for adoption by our Firm.
- Human Oversight and Accountability. We maintain human oversight over content generated by AI. Commitments are secured from providers of AI solutions adopted by our Firm that safeguards are in place to reduce risks of hallucinations and bias. Performance and impact of these solutions on our workflows and outcomes are monitored and assessed.
- Training and Awareness. We train our people on the Policy to ensure responsible AI use and understanding of its associated risks and benefits.
Future-ready Workforce
We are dedicated to upskilling our people, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and expertise to harness the full potential of AI. This proactive approach ensures that our Firm is prepared to lead the way in transforming how we work, ultimately translating our AI strategy into tangible value creation. Our continuous investment in training and development means that our workforce is future-ready, capable of leveraging AI to drive innovation and deliver better service to our clients.
