Rajah & Tann Singapore has contributed the Singapore chapter of The International Comparative Legal Guides (ICLG) – Corporate Investigations Laws and Regulations 2026 published by Global Legal Group. The publication examines common issues in corporate investigations laws and regulations across 13 jurisdictions, covering areas such as internal investigation, self-disclosure to enforcement authorities, investigation processes, and confidentiality and attorney-client privileges.
Authored by Partners Jansen Chow and Thong Chee Kun (Co-Heads), Josephine Chee and Jason Lim from the Fraud, Asset Recovery & Investigations Practice and White Collar Crime Practice, the Singapore chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the country’s corporate investigations landscape, addressing: (i) an entity’s statutory or regulatory obligations when considering an internal investigation; (ii) cooperation with regulators before or during such investigations; (iii) managing data privacy and cross-border evidence; and (iv) conducting witness interviews and implementing best practices. The chapter also highlights key enforcement trends and anticipated reforms in Singapore relating to corporate investigations.
The chapter equips businesses as well as in-house counsel with clear guidance on managing corporate investigations effectively within Singapore’s regulatory framework.
