Paul Ng on mediation of aviation disputes through the Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation

Arbritration World Podcast (Paul Ng)

As aviation disputes grow more technically, commercially and jurisdictionally complex, mediation is gaining traction as a powerful complement to arbitration and litigation.

In a recent Arbitration World podcast hosted by K&L Gates, Paul Ng, Head of Aviation at Rajah & Tann Singapore, discussed the Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation (HCAA) Mediation Rules and why mediation is particularly well suited to the aviation sector, offering a confidential, flexible and cost‑effective way to address both legal and commercial realities, while preserving long‑term relationships.

As Co‑Chair of the HCAA Mediation Working Group and a member of its Legal Advisory Panel, Paul previously led the drafting of the HCAA Mediation Rules, working alongside international practitioners and industry experts to deliver a modern, sector‑specific mediation regime, giving aviation stakeholders access to mediators with deep industry expertise and a process tailored to the unique challenges of aviation‑related disputes.
