From Clicks to Compliance: CCS Consumer Protection Enforcement in Practice

On 3 February 2026, the Competition & Antitrust and Trade Practice organised a seminar titled “From Clicks to Compliance: CCS Consumer Protection Enforcement in Practice”.

The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (“CCS“) closed out 2025 with a series of consumer protection interventions, culminating in action against misleading “dark patterns” on major retail websites, new cross-government standards for e- commerce conduct, fresh guidance on substantiating product claims, and an expansion of product safety oversight that materially heightens compliance risk for consumer-facing businesses.

The speakers at the seminar covered the practical implications of these Q4 2025 moves, and examined likely enforcement directions in 2026. They also sought to translate them into concrete programme updates across product, marketing, e-commerce and governance functions.

Kala Anandarajah, BBM, Head of the Competition & Antitrust and Trade Practice, and Tanya Tang, Partner (Chief Economic and Policy Advisor) of the same Practice, were the speakers.
