Contribution to Chambers and Partners Global Practice Guide: Employment 2024 – Singapore Trends and Developments

Rajah & Tann Singapore recently contributed to the Singapore chapter of the Global Practice Guide: Employment 2024 published by Chambers and Partners. Authored by our top-ranked Employment team comprising Jonathan Yuen, Head of Employment (Disputes), and Partners Ang Tze Phern, Doreen Chia and Jonathan Cham, the chapter provides an overview of the recent changes the Singapore government has made to the country’s employment legislation and regulatory framework, and their consequent impact on employers and employees. In particular, the chapter discusses the following key changes:

  • Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests;
  • Raising of Retirement and Re-employment Age; and
  • Upcoming Tripartite Guidelines on the Inclusion of Non-competes in Employment Contracts.
