  • Rajah & Tann Singapore COVID-19 Update: Working from Home

As efforts are stepped up to battle the COVID-19 outbreak, we at Rajah & Tann have been closely monitoring the situation and implementing measures as appropriate for providing a safe environment for our lawyers, staff and clients to continue delivering our professional services.

Our Business Community Plan (BCP) went into effect in early February and provided for the immediate segregation of lawyers and staff into two teams, each either working in-office or from home with weekly rotations.

In further enhancement of our BCP, with effect from 30 March 2020 (Monday), the firm will be adopting a full work-from-home arrangement with the exception of a core group of support personnel who will be present in the office. The office premises will be closed during this time and as such, until further notice, we will not be hosting physical meetings at our office premises.

Most of you would have already been communicating and meeting our lawyers virtually using our technology. My own experience and that of my colleagues have been that this manner of interaction has been extremely effective in these extraordinary times. We are therefore confident that we are more than equipped with the necessary secured IT infrastructure to continue to be responsive to your needs and to provide you with the high level of service that you have come to expect of us.

We have also stepped up our use of technology to conduct meetings, trainings and webinars. We will therefore continue to provide all latest updates and developments that are relevant and crucial to you.

I would also like to share with you our RTA COVID-19 Resource Centre, which gathers views from our lawyers across the region on some of the common issues and legal implications of this pandemic.

You may access the site here: https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/covid-19-resource-centre/
We hope you will find this resource useful. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our lawyers should you have any queries on these topics.

As our valued client, we want you to know that your wellbeing and safety are important to us and we wish you and your families good health in these uncertain times.

If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to your usual Rajah & Tann contact or you can email our taskforce at taskforce@rajahtann.com.
