Singapore, 1 January 2026 – Rajah & Tann Singapore (R&T) has appointed Abdul Jabbar Bin Karam Din as Deputy Managing Partner. A partner for more than 26 years, he will support R&T’s continued strategic development and strengthen integration of centralised services across the organisation.
Formerly Head of the Corporate & Transactional Group, Jabbar has led initiatives spanning people, practice and processes. With the Singapore firm scaling in the region through the Rajah & Tann Asia network, the leadership team sees a critical need to align strategic and operational resources and functions across practice groups to support sustained growth.
Ng Kim Beng, R&T’s Managing Partner said: “We are delighted to have Jabbar on board as Deputy Managing Partner. His appointment reinforces our leadership bench as we continue to build for the future and position Rajah & Tann for sustainable, long-term growth.”
“Jabbar’s analytical skills are legendary, and he has worked with all practice groups on human resource and business development, planning and budgeting. After years of organic growth, we need someone of his experience to institutionalise shared services and support functions and embed consistent processes and standards across the firm.”
Jabbar is the second Deputy Managing Partner appointed since Kelvin Poon, SC, became deputy to Mr Ng on April 1, 2025. He has more than 30 years of experience in areas such as corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and banking and finance. He is recommended in The Legal 500 (Corporate and M&A), where clients have described his advice as “consistently sound” and delivering “high quality commercial value”. Jabbar has also been recognised in Lexology Index: Corporate Governance since 2017 as well as in Lexology Index: Labour & Employment from 2011 to 2024.
