Vietjet, the largest airline in Vietnam, secured a landmark agreement with Airbus, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the order of 20 A330-900 NEO widebody aircraft.
This was the largest Airbus aircraft order at the recently concluded Singapore Airshow 2024, the largest airshow in Asia. This deal is also the largest order of Airbus aircraft in Southeast Asia so far for 2024.
These aircraft will serve Vietjet’s expanding long-range network (planned for Europe) and high-capacity regional services, replacing the carrier’s current leased A330-300 fleet. These aircraft align with Vietjet’s sustainable development strategy, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050.
