Singapore, 3 November 2025 – Rajah & Tann Singapore (R&T) has appointed David Menon, former Deputy Director of the Attorney-General’s Chambers, as a partner in the firm’s Dispute Resolution group.
At the Attorney-General’s Chambers, David handled some of Singapore’s most complex and sensitive cases involving corruption, financial crimes, and sexual offences, often leading matters against Senior Counsel.
David has led more than 30 trials and appeals before the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. He was also Singapore’s United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) country expert, which underscores his expertise in anti-corruption matters.

Some of David’s notable cases include securing convictions against an Immigration & Checkpoints Authority officer who accepted bribes and sexual gratification; prosecuting a SingPost Senior Vice President for cheating the company into paying him a higher salary and soliciting a S$1 million bribe; leading the prosecution of multiple individuals in the Keppel FELS’ corruption case; and representing the Public Prosecutor in securing the first Deferred Prosecution Agreement in Singapore against Seatrium.
Beyond his track record in Singapore, David also brings international experience from his time in the USA, representing major corporations and senior executives in white-collar defence and regulatory matters, including federal and international investigations. He also worked on several international arbitrations while in the USA.
His commitment to pro bono work earned him awards in the USA such as the Cyrus R. Vance Center Award for International Pro Bono Excellence (2018) and The Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Publico Award (2019) for advocacy in immigrant rights and international law.
