Shaun is a Partner in Rajah & Tann Singapore's Corporate Real Estate Practice.

Shaun has experience in a wide spectrum of transactional and advisory real estate work including acting for property developers, investment funds, statutory boards, property consultants, investors, and financial institutions in the acquisition, divestment, leasing, development and financing of properties ranging from residential, commercial, and industrial projects to mixed-use developments, hotels, and shopping malls.

Notable cases
  • Acting for Link Real Estate Investment Trust in its S$2.161 billion acquisition of suburban retail assets, Jurong Point and Swing By @ Thomson Plaza from Mercatus Co-operative Limited; this was Southeast Asia’s largest real estate transaction in 2022.
  • Acting for Wing Tai Holdings in the collective acquisition of Lakeside Apartments at 9E and 9F Yuan Ching Road for around S$273 million and in the lease top-up from JTC for around S$85 million. This was JTC’s inaugural lease top up for a residential site in Singapore.
  • Acting for a subsidiary of Cuscaden Peak Investments in the divestment of four good class bungalows located at Yarwood Avenue and Nassim Road for more than S$236 million. The sale of the good class bungalows at Nassim Road was reported as setting a new record land rate for good class bungalow areas in Singapore.
  • Acting for the receivers and managers of the developments known as Sycamore Tree and Laurel Tree which ran in to financial difficulties prior to construction completion. The developments are licensed developments subject to the purview of the Controller of Housing, which resulted in unique issues to be grappled with.
