The signing ceremony took place on 16 October 2014 at the Sky Garden of Straits Trading Building, and was graced by Mr Toh Boon Yi, Chief of Corporate and Community Outreach, Singapore SEA Games Organising Committee who extended a warm welcome to the firm’s legal contribution to the SEA Games. He also observed the close ties between Rajah & Tann and Sport Singapore given the synergies and parallels shared between both parties as a natural choice for the legal appointment.
Mr Lau Kok Keng, Head of Intellectual Property, Sports and Gaming at Rajah & Tann, provided an overview of the firm’s sports establishment, while drawing out the common vision realised by Rajah & Tann in offering the highest legal standards for the SEA Games 2015.
Guests at the event included representatives from Sport Singapore, fellow colleagues at the firm and media folks. Former SEA Games athletes who are staff of the firm were also present at the signing ceremony and provided the audience with a glimpse of their diverse experiences as athletes.
The signing ceremony concluded with a photo-taking opportunity with Nila, the mascot of Sport Singapore followed by a lunch reception at the foyer of the event venue.
